Lady Chiefs finish 3-1 at Panama City Tournament

Northview went 3-1 at the Panama City Softball Tournament March 3-4.

The Lady Chiefs beat Sneads 10-0, Altha 11-9 and Mosley 10-1 before falling 11-5 to Arnold.

Makayla Golson went 2-for-3 with one RBI to lead the Lady Chiefs. Mary-Clayton Dawson added a hit and two RBIs and two runs; Rylee Brooks went 1-for-3 with a run; and Allison Flowers went 1-for-3 with an RBI.

Emma Gilmore struck out nine and allowed 11 runs on seven hits.

The Lady Chiefs scored four runs in the first inning and one run in the sixth.

Arnold scored eight runs in the second, two runs in the fourth and one run in the fifth.

Northview’s Jamison Gilman went 2-for-3 with four RBIs and two runs to lead the Lady Chiefs.

NHS scored 10 runs in the third inning.

Gilmore and Dawson had two hits each, and Keeli Knighten had one hit.

NHS girls 11, Altha girls 9

Gilmore hit a two-run walk-off single in the fifth inning. She went 2-for-3 with three RBIs and a run.

Aubrey Stuckey went 2-for-3 with two RBIs and two runs; Gilman, Brooks and Golson had one hit each.

Altha led 8-5 going into the fourth inning. The Lady Chiefs scored four runs in the fourth.

Gilmore pitched a shutout, allowing two runs and one walk while striking out five in the opening game of the tournament.

Gilmore also went 2-for-3 with four RBIs at the plate. Gilman went 1-for-3 with three RBIs and a run. Ragsdale, Stuckey, Brooks and Dawson had one hit each.
