Mrs. Lettie Caraway Hanks, 87, passed away peacefully on Wed., March 15, 2023, in Century, Fla.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, J.D. Hanks; and her parents, James Oscar (Clinie Lewis) Caraway.

She is survived by her one daughter, Donna Hall, of Atmore; two sisters, Juanita O’Conner, of Barrineau Park, Fla. and Bonnie Ruth Bell, of Hattiesburg, Miss.; two grandchildren, Donna “Beth” Holloway (Joe) of Daphne and J.R. (Virginia) Hall, of Gordo; eight great-grandchildren, Alexis, Jaxon, Lillie, Ally, Landon, Jayson, Aiden, Emma; and other relatives.

A funeral service will be this Sun., March 19, 2023 at 3 p.m. at Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home LLC with the Rev. Windell Hadley officiating.

Burial will follow at Bay Springs Cemetery.

Visitation will be held on March 19, 2023 from 1 p.m. until service time at Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home LLC.

Pallbearers will be Jaxon King, Joe Holloway, Luman Wilson, Tim Wilson, Buddy Bethea and Ricky Beasley.

Honorary pallbearers will be her nieces, Lisa Newton, Paula Thomley, Evelyn Bethea and Marilyn Stone.

Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home LLC is in charge of all arrangements.
