Red Level woman dies in 2-vehicle crash near Evergreen; Atmore man was other driver

A Red Level woman died in a two-vehicle crash that involved an Atmore man this morning on Highway 84, approximately 15 miles west of Evergreen, according to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency.

ALEA officials said Monica G. McCall, 30, was fatally injured when the 2018 Toyota Rav4 she was driving collided head on with the 1995 Peterbilt 379 commercial vehicle driven by Dewey L. Bethea, 67, of Atmore.

McCall was pronounced deceased at the scene, officials said.

The crash occured at approximately 8:08 am at the 112-marker.

Nothing further is available as Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.
