An Atmore woman was arrested April 23 on a domestic violence charge, according to officials.

Atmore Police Department Public Information Officer Sgt. Darrell McMann said in a release that Duntra Howard, 23, was arrested and charged with domestic violence II and was transported to the Escambia County Detention Center in Brewton.
McMann said at approximately 1:45 p.m. on the day of the arrest, APD officers responded to the 500 block of Bragg Street in reference to a domestic violence incident.
“When officers arrived on the scene, they discovered Duntra Howard (allegedly) used an edged weapon to cut the victim,” he said.
