A full and fun two days are slated for this year’s Mayfest activities, May 5-6.

Atmore Area Chamber of Commerce officials released the schedule for the annual festival Tuesday morning.

The weekend kicks off this Fri., May 5, with Miss Mayfest at Grace Fellowship in Atmore. The pageant begins at 6 p.m. and cost is $2 per person (children under 3 are free).

Miss People’s Choice votes can be purchased beginning today through intermission at the pageant — $1 equals one vote. The contestant with the most votes overall will win People’s Choice, according to the chamber.

Fifty-eight participants will compete in the Miss Mayfest pageant.

Then, on Sat., May 6, some 91 vendors highlight the annual festival at Tom Byrne Park.

Vendors include 19 informational; 44 arts and crafts; 20 commercial; and eight food.

Additionally, bouncy houses, slides, obstacle course, pony rides and face painting will be featured at the park.

Cost for wristbands includes $10 for 30 minutes; $15 for an hour; and $0 for all day. Pony rides are not included in the wristband/tickets, according to chamber officials.

Train tickets are $2 each.

The annual Mayfest Softball Tournament has seven teams this year. The tournament begins at 8 a.m. and lasts throughout the day.

Teams playing in the tournament are the Misfits, We care, Southern Angels, South AL Aftershock, Sneaky Creek, Casey Jackson and Wasted Talent.

• 6 a.m. – Set up/check in begins for vendors
• 8 a.m. – Softball games begin/all vehicles must be removed from the interior of the park
• 9 a.m. – Opening ceremonies – Speakers, National Anthem, Flag Raising, Prayer
• 8:30 a.m. – Check in for Beautiful Baby Participants
• 9 a.m. – Line up for Beautiful Baby Participants
• 9:30-11 a.m. – Beautiful Baby Contest
• 10:45 a.m. – Check in/line up for Miss Mayfest Winners
• 11-11:15 a.m. – Miss Mayfest Winners presented
• 10:45-11 a.m. – Beautiful Baby Winners announced
• 11:15-12:45 – Entertainment – Justin Colvard
• 12:34-2:15 – Entertainment – Joey Collins
• 2:15-3:45 – Entertainment Dave Meadows
• 3:45-4 p.m. – Entertainment – Kris Stewart (DJ)
• 4 p.m. – Mayfest concludes
