Walter E. Jury, 78, of Atmore, passed away on April 17, 2023.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Betty Jean Jury; his son, Walter E. Jury Jr.; and his sister, Pam Regan.

He is survived by his wife of over 56 years, Betty Naomi Brooks Jury; his son, Jonathan S. Jury of Atmore; his daughter, Valorie (Kenneth) Mitchell of Nashville, Tenn.; his sister, Caroline (Jack) Smith of Naples, Fla.; his grandchildren, Kenneth Traa Mitchell III, Leiana Grimes and Morgan Jury; along with numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, extended family and friends.

Graveside services were held on April 21, 2023 at Oak Hill Cemetery.

Interment followed in Oak Hill Cemetery in Atmore.

Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
