Atmore man arrested on multiple domestic violence charges

An Atmore man was arrested June 1 on domestic violence charges, according to the Atmore Police Department.

Public Information Officer Sgt. Darrell McMann said in a release that Iagerald Williams, 24, was arrested and charged with domestic violence III harassment, domestic violence criminal mischief and domestic violence II in reference to a burglary.

McMann said at approximately 8:40 p.m. June 1, APD officers responded to a residence on North Main Street in reference to a burglary and domestic violence.

“The officers contacted the victim who stated that her ex-boyfriend, Iagerald Williams, 24, of Atmore, broke into her residence and punched her,” McMann said. “Williams also damaged the property of the victim after entering the residence.”

Williams was transported to the Escambia County Detention Center in Brewton.
