Mrs. Hazel G. Higdon passed away on Tues., May 23, 2023.
She is preceded in death by her husband, William Otis Higdon.
Mrs. Higdon is survived by her son, Ronald Otis Higdon (Margo) of Niceville, Fla.; and two daughters, Karen Higdon Krienke (Allen) of Gadsden and Kathy Jalon St. Clair (Albert) of Collinsville, Miss.
She is also survived by two sisters, Joyce Esneul and Vivian Jennette Nall; seven grandchildren, William Higdon (Katie), Joseph Grant Higdon, Jeremiah Krienke (Samantha), Alyssa Krienke, Jessica Birt (Ethan), Jennifer Roberts (Joshua) and Joy St. Clair; four great-grandchildren, Chloe and Kaylan Higdon, Warren Krienke and Samuel Birt; and three more on the way.
We would like to thank the Atmore Community Hospital Auxiliary Volunteers (Pink Ladies) and the members of the Atmore Silver Sneakers group for their support and friendship. We would also like to thank the staff at Waterford at Carpenters Creek in Pensacola, FL and the staff at Ascension Sacred Heart Pensacola hospital and the nursing staff at Covenant Hospice for their loving care.
Funeral services were held on May 26, 2023 at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Guyton Montgomery officiating. Interment followed in Robinsonville Baptist Church Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Atmore Church of Christ, 401 S. Presley St., Atmore, AL 36502.
Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
