Flomaton fell 45-21 to Walton, Fla. tonight in regular season action at home.

Head football coach Doug Vickery said it was a physical game.

“We were down 24-0 at halftime, and the second half it was 21-21. They were very, very good. We knew that was going to be a physical, tough game. I’m really pleased with the mentality of our players. We had two starters out, which made it tougher, but I’m proud of my guys. They kept scrapping and fighting.”

FHS (1-1) will host Hillcrest-Evergreen next Thurs., Sept. 7, to begin Class 3A, Region 1 play.
