An Atmore woman was arrested July 26 on drug warrants, according to officials.
Atmore Police Department Public Information Officer Sgt. Darrell McMann said in a release that Kiley Glaze, 19, was arrested on warrants for possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana II and possession of drug paraphernalia.
McMann said the arrest of Glaze stemmed from an earlier traffic stop by the APD on Highway 21 on June 12.
McMann said the traffic stop occurred near Wooten Road in reference to the vehicle displaying an expired tag. He said the officer contacted the driver, Glaze.
“The officer checked the status of Glaze’s drivers license and discovered Glaze had an outstanding failure to appear felony arrest warrant with the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office,” McMann said. “During the officer’s interaction with Glaze, they were given consent to search the vehicle.”
McMann said the search yielded approximately 1 gram of marijuana, 1 gram of methamphetamine and a marijuana grinder. He added that both were field-tested.
McMann said Glaze was then turned over to a BCSO deputy and was transported to the Baldwin County Detention Center.
Then, an APD narcotics investigator obtained arrest warrants for the drug charges, and she was transported to the Escambia County Detention Center on July 26.
