County BOE approves personnel recommendations

The Escambia County Board of Education July 29 approved some last-minute personnel recommendations before the start of the 2024-25 school year.
The first day of school for the system is Aug. 6.
The board approved the following personnel recommendations:
Resignation
- Victoria Shipp, as seven-hour lunchroom worker at Escambia County Middle School, effective Aug. 11;
- Nikita Pinkney, as teacher at ECMS, effective July 15;
- Aundrea Beasley, as special education aide at Flomaton High School, effective July 23;
- Allison Lowery, as elementary teacher at W.S. Neal Elementary School, effective July 31;
- Brigitte Hoomes, as six-hour lunchroom worker at WSNES, effective July 31;
Employment
- Jamieka McMorris, as pre-k auxiliary teacher aide at A.C. Moore Primary School, effective Aug. 1, replacing Kimberly Burris;
- Kathleen Camp, as kindergarten teacher at A.C. Moore Primary School, effective Aug. 1, replacing Nikki Trawick;
- Sandi McMurphy, as itinerant registered nurse at ECMS and ECHS, effective July 31;
- Ray Morris, as assistant principal at ECHS, effective July 29, replacing Layton Knight;
