The current forecast track for Potential Tropical Cyclone 4 is to turn north and then northeast and track along the western coastline of the Florida peninsula over the weekend, according to the National Hurricane Center.

Escambia County EMA Director David Adams said this is a bit of good news for the area.

“However, the potential for impacts is not completely gone until the storm moves inland,” he said. “Please continue to monitor the progress and forecasts for this storm through the weekend.”
