An Atmore man was arrested Aug. 3 on possession of drug charges, according to officials.
Atmore Police Department Public Information Officer Sgt. Darrell McMann said in a release that Jailon Hall, 20, was arrested and charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance.
McMann said on the day of the arrest, an APD officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle on Crow Street on a driver allegedly not wearing his seatbelt. The officer then contacted Hall.
“Upon checking Hall’s driver license status, the officer discovered that Hall was wanted by the Escambia County Ala. Sheriff’s Office in reference to two outstanding felony arrest warrants,” McMann said. “The officer placed Hall under arrest. The officers were given consent to search Hall’s vehicle and discovered approximately 1 gram of synthetic cannabis (spice) and a container with residue in it.”
Hall was then transported to the Escambia County Detention Center in Brewton.
