Flomaton woman arrested Aug. 4 on drug possession charges

A Flomaton woman was arrested Aug. 4 on possession of drug charges, according to the Atmore Police Department.

Public Information Officer Sgt. Darrell McMann said in a release that Alisha Bradley, 45, was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana II and possession of drug paraphernalia.

McMann said at approximately 2 a.m. Aug. 4, an APD officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle on Highway 31 when the officer observed the vehicle failing to maintain its lane of travel. The officer then contacted Bradley.

“The officer noticed Bradley acting strangely and requested assistance from an Escambia County Sheriff’s Deputy K-9 unit,” McMann said. “The K-9 alerted on the vehicle and a search revealed 2 grams of marijuana, approximately 1 gram of crack cocaine and other items commonly used to ingest narcotics.”

Bradley was then transported to the Escambia County Detention Center in Brewton.
