Atmore man arrested on multiple drug charges

An Atmore man was arrested on multiple drug charges Sept. 5, according to officials.

Atmore Police Department Public Information Officer Sgt. Darrell McMann said in a release that Mark Hall, 49, was arrested and charged with unlawful manufacturing of a controlled substance II, possession of a controlled substance I, possession of marijuana I, possession of drug paraphernalia and certain persons forbidden to possess a firearm.

McMann said the arrest occurred after APD officers executed a search warrant at a residence in the 100 block of Terrace Street at approximately 12:30 p.m. on the day of the arrest. The warrant was executed in reference to a narcotics investigation.

“Upon executing the search warrant, the officers contacted their person of interest, Mark Hall, age 49, of Atmore, and took him into custody,” McMann said. “During the search, the officers discovered a marijuana plant, several grams of cocaine, several grams of an unknown substance that will be sent to the lab to determine what the substance is, two firearms, a digital scale and other items.”

Hall was then transported to the Escambia County Detention Center in Brewton.
