Northview defeated Central, Fla. 40-0 on senior night tonight at Tommy Weaver Stadium in Bratt.

The Chiefs led 26-0 at halftime.

Moses Delarosa hit a 56-yarder to the house with 8:06 left in the third quarter, and Jamaris Durant added a 2-yard touchdown rush late in the same quarter.

“Central’s a great program,” NHS head football coach Wes Summerford said. “I can tell they got a lot of things going their way. I have a lot of respect for their head coach (Joe Surratt). He does a great job.”

Summerford added that Surratt has put a lot of work into the program.

He said he’s glad his players got back in the win column, especially after a close 36-26 loss at Freeport last week.

“Like I told the guys, the challenge here is to execute and play as a team,” he said. “Hopefully, tonight we hopped on the right train to get that going.”
