JoAnn Fern Koehn Nightengale was born to Fred P. and Sarah Smith Koehn on June 3, 1931, in Montezuma, Kan. She passed away on Sept. 12, 2024, at Jay Hospital in Jay, Fla., reaching the age of 93 years.

Her passing leaves a wealth of warm memories for her children, Doyle, of Davisville, Fla., Randy of Crestview, Fla., Scott and Lilian of Walnut Hill and Charlotte and Brian Decker of Wakarusa, Ind.; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchild; two sisters, Helen Unruh of Moundridge, Kan. and June Schoonover of Colorado Springs, Colo.; and countless friends and relatives.

Preceding her in death were her husband, Marvin; seven sisters; two brothers; four brothers in law; and one sister-in-law.

Funeral services were held on Sept. 18, 2024 at Walnut Hill Mennonite Church with Minister Benjamin Koehn, Minister Myron Nightingale, Minister Mike Koehn and Minister Keith Nightingale officiating. Interment followed in Walnut Hill Memorial Gardens.

Active pallbearers were Calvin Becker, Mark Johnson, Jason Schneider, Henry Hiebert, Curtis Hiebert and Tracey Hiebert.

 

Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
