“During the officers interaction with Johnson, the officer became suspicious of his behavior and requested a K-9 officer respond,” McMann said. “Once deployed, the K-9 alerted to the presence of narcotics on the vehicle. During a search of the vehicle, the officer discovered a crystal-like substance that field tested positive for methamphetamine, buprenorphine/naloxone pills and other items that are used to ingest narcotics.”

Johnson was then transported to the Escambia County Detention Center in Brewton.
