An Atmore man was arrested Oct. 11 on outstanding felony arrest warrants, according to officials.
Atmore Police Department Public Information Officer Sgt. Darrell McMann said in a release that Akeem Allen, 30, was arrested on several outstanding felony arrest warrants through the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office (Ala.).
McMann said at approximately 4 p.m. on Friday, APD officers were dispatched to a residence located in the 1100 block of Robinsonville Road in reference to a civil dispute.
“During the interaction with the parties involved in the dispute, the officer recognized one of the people involved from a previous call for service in which the individual gave a false name to the same officer,” McMann said. “The officer signed an arrest warrant on Akeem Allen, age 30, of Atmore when he discovered that Allen had provided the officer with a false name due to Allen having several outstanding felony arrest warrants through the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office.”
Allen was then transported to the Escambia County Detention Center in Brewton.
