Little River man arrested Nov. 12 on drug, endangering welfare of child, eluding charges

A Little River man was arrested Nov. 12 on multiple drug, endangering the welfare of a child and attempting to elude a police officer charges, according to the Atmore Police Department.
Public Information Officer Sgt. Darrell McMann said in a release that Henry Hadley, 25, was arrested and charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, endangering the welfare of a child, attempting to elude a police officer, possession of marijuana II and leaving the scene of an accident.
McMann said at approximately 7:50 a.m. on Tuesday, APD officers responded to a 911 call in reference to a vehicle that was involved in a traffic accident, and leaving the scene on Highway 31.
“The dispatcher was provided a description of the vehicle that left the scene, and officers were able to locate the vehicle on Harris Street,” McMann said.
McMann said Hadley, the driver, allegedly refused to pull over until he stopped at an intersection, and an officer was able to block him from leaving.
“Officers discovered Hadley had outstanding felony warrants for his arrest though the Escambia County (Ala.) Sheriff’s Office,” he said. “During a search of the vehicle the officers discovered a small amount of marijuana, synthetic cannabis and items used to ingest narcotics. The officers also discovered two small children under the age of four years old in the back seat.”
Hadley was then transported to the Escambia County Detention Center in Brewton.
