McMann said during the interaction with the occupants, the officer detected a strong odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle.

“The officer removed the occupants from the vehicle to conduct a probable cause search,” McMann said. “During the search, the officer discovered over a dozen grams of methamphetamine, a small amount of synthetic cannabis (spice), a small amount of marijuana and items used to ingest narcotics.

“The driver was wanted by two different agencies for outstanding arrest warrants, and detained for the Baldwin County (Ala.) Sheriffs Office,” he added.

Thrower was the passenger in the vehicle.

Thrower was then transported to the Escambia County Detention Center in Brewton.
