Anthony “Tony” Ray James, 66, of Atmore, passed away on Nov. 28, 2024 in Atmore.

He was born on Feb. 17, 1958 in Mobile to Eugene Ray and Janie Rowell James.

He is preceded in death by his father, Eugene Ray James.

He is survived by his wife, Vickie Melton James of Atmore; his daughter, Railyn (Jeremy) Rolin of Nokomis; his mother, Janie “Ann” James; his brother, Phillip (Denise) James both of Nokomis; and his two grandchildren, Gabby and Greenlee Rolin.

Graveside services were held on Dec. 1, 2024 at Oak Hill Cemetery with Elder Gene Freeland officiating. Interment followed in Oak Hill Cemetery.

Active pallbearers were Jeremy Rolin, Brandon James, Ray James, Ian James, Joey James, Todd Booker, Alan Ash and Robert Nichols.

Honorary pallbearers were Ral Smith, Andy Wilkins and Greg Hodgen.

Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
