The Greater Escambia Council for the Arts (GECA) is presenting “An Enchanted Bookshop Christmas” Dec. 5-8 and 12-15.
According to GECA officials, the production is a festive, family-friendly play that’ll “warm your heart and spark your imagination.”
“An Enchanted Bookshop Christmas” is directed by Sharon Poulsen, and takes audiences to a used bookstore, A Likely Story, just days before Christmas. The story unfolds as Miss Margie, the bookshop’s owner, prepares for a special holiday visit from her family. But when a crucial bookmark with life-changing information goes missing, beloved literary characters—from Ebenezer Scrooge to the Nutcracker Prince—spring to life to save the day while keeping their magical existence a secret.
Show times are 7 p.m. from Dec. 5-7 and 12-13, and on 2 p.m. Dec. 8, 14 and 15.
Tickets are $12 each, and are available at www.gecarts.org.
