Escambia County’s boys varsity basketball team finished 1-1 in the Georgiana Christmas Clash Dec. 5-6.
The Blue Devils beat Andalusia 57-53, and fell to GHS 70-54.
In girls action, the Lady Blue Devils beat AHS 46-44 and GHS 50-40.

ECHS boys 54
KJ Taylor and Jayden Howard finished in double figures for the Blue Devils. Taylor led with 14 points, and Howard contributed with 13.
Georgiana led throughout the contest, leading 34-19 at halftime.

Cleo “Bull” Bolar led with 18 points, and Taylor added 15 in the win.
Tai Henderson contributed with 10 points.
Bolard added six rebounds, five assists and seven steals.

After a 11-11 first period, the Lady Blue Devils led 23 to 20 at halftime, and clawed their way back after falling behind by four going into the final period.
ECHS outscored Andalusia 18-12 in the fourth period.

The Lady Blue Devils put together a bit second period, leading 27-23 at halftime, and outscored the Lady Panthers 23-17 in the second half.

In other area action, Escambia Academy’s boys defeated Monroe Academy 61-49 on Dec. 5.
