John Spearman Winters, of Monroeville, passed away on Dec. 20, 2024 at the age of 66. He was a forester/ag lender with United Bank.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Samuel Emory and Sarah Ann Winters.

He is survived by his wife of 21 years, Lynn Taylor Winters of Monroeville; one daughter, Mary Taylor Winters of Monroeville; two brothers, Sam (Susie) Winters of Greenville and David Winters; a special niece and nephew, Amy (Jacob) Bohannon of Prattville and Emory (Becky) Winters of Huntsville; other family members and many friends.

A visitation was held on Dec. 22, 2024 at Johnson Funeral Home.

Funeral services followed in the chapel with John Lewis Winters officiating. Interment followed at Mexia Baptist Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to Pilots for Christ.

Johnson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
