McMann said at approximately 2:20 a.m. on the day of the arrest, an APD officer conducted a traffic stop on Highway 21 on a vehicle displaying an expired license plate. The officer then contacted the driver, Wilfong.
“During the officer’s interaction with Wilfong, the officer noted suspicious behavior and requested consent to search the vehicle,” McMann said. “During the search the officer discovered a small amount of methamphetamine, marijuana and items that are used to ingest narcotics.”
