An Atmore man was arrested Jan. 5 on possession of drug charges, according to officials.
Atmore Police Department Public Information Officer Sgt. Darrell McMann said in a release that Robert Foreman, 63, was arrested and charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance and possession of marijuana I.
McMann said at approximately 12:50 p.m. on Sunday, APD officers were dispatched to Ashley and Carver in reference to a suspicious vehicle. He added that responding officers made contact with the occupant, later identified as Foreman.
“While speaking with Foreman, the officers discovered that Foreman had multiple misdemeanor warrants with Atmore Police Department,” McMann said. “During a search incident to arrest, the officers discovered a small amount of synthetic cannabis (spice), crack cocaine and marijuana.”
