A Uriah woman was arrested Jan. 3 on possession of drug charges, according to the Atmore Police Department.
Public Information Officer Sgt. Darrell McMann said in a release that Reigh Holder, 44, was arrested and charged with three counts of possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
McMann said at approximately 5:15 p.m. on Jan. 3, an APD officer conducted a traffic stop on Sunset Drive in reference to the vehicle being driven erratically.
McMann said the officer contacted the driver, and passenger, who later identified as Holder.
“The officer requested a K-9 unit after observing suspicious behavior,” McMann said. “The K-9 alerted on the vehicle, and a probable cause search was conducted. The officers discovered clonazepam, valium, methamphetamine and items used to package narcotics and to ingest narcotics.”
Holder was then transported to the Escambia County Detention Center in Brewton.
The driver was arrested and charged with driving under the influence and was transported to the Atmore Municipal Jail.
