An Atmore man was arrested Jan. 13 on an assault charge, according to officials.
Atmore Police Department Public Information Officer Sgt. Darrell McMann said in a release that Kennedy Crook, 44, was arrested on a warrant for assault II.
McMann said on Jan. 9 at approximately 8:45 p.m., APD officers responded to Atmore Village Apartments in reference to an assault.
“The officers contacted the victim who suffered multiple broken ribs and other injuries,” McMann said, adding that Crook was identified as one of the individuals responsible for the injuries.
McMann said an investigator obtained an arrest warrant for Crook. Crook was arrested on January 13, 2025, and transported to the Escambia County Detention Center in brewton.
The other individual involved in the assault has been identified, and has an active warrant for assault II, McMann said.
