Escambia County, Ala. and Fla. are under a winter storm warning from 6 a.m. Jan. 21 until 6 a.m. Jan. 22, according to the National Weather Service.
According to the NWS, snow will begin Tuesday morning across southeast Mississippi and southwest Alabama, and will spread east through the afternoon. The snow will taper off at night.
There will be a mix of freezing rain, sleet and snow possibly along the coast, according to NWS officials.
Impacts include roads, bridges and overpasses becoming icy, which will make travel hazardous, if not impossible at times. Power outages and tree damage are possible, according to the NWS.
According to the NWS, forecasted snowfall for most of Escambia County, Ala. tomorrow is between 1-2 inches. The forecasted snowfall for Escambia County, Fla. is between 2-4 inches, according to the NWS.
