Vincent Harris has resigned as the head football coach at Escambia County.
Harris announced his decision Tuesday via his Facebook page.
“It has been an honor to serve as the head football coach at Escambia County,” Harris said. “My decision to resign was not made lightly as my time here has been filled with unforgettable moments, personal growth and a deep sense of pride in what we have built together as a team.”
Harris thanked his players for their efforts.
“You have given everything to this program, and it has been an honor to be your coach,” he said. “The dedication, hard work and heart you bring to the field each day have been a constant source of inspiration for me.”
Harris said each player contributed to the program, and it can’t be measured.
“While this chapter comes to a close, I am excited to see where the future takes this team,” he said. “I have full confidence that the Blue Devils will continue to rise, grow and succeed. I look forward to watching your continued program, and I will always be cheering for you from the sidelines.”
In his three seasons at ECHS, Harris went 12-18.
