Pensacola, Fla. woman arrest Jan. 20 on possession of drug charges

A Pensacola, Fla. woman was arrested Jan. 20 on possession of drug charges, according to the Atmore Police Department.
Public Information Officer Sgt. Darrell McMann said in a release that Stephanie Book, 52, was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
McMann said at approximately 10:10 p.m. on the day of arrest, an APD officer conducted a traffic stop on North Main Street in reference to a vehicle not displaying a license plate. The officer then contacted Book, the driver.
“During the officer’s interaction with Book, he noted that she seemed to be under the influence and was acting suspiciously,” McMann said. “The officer requested a K-9 officer to respond to the scene. Once on the scene, the K-9 alerted on the vehicle. A probable cause search of the vehicle was conducted.”
McMann said during the search of the vehicle, the officers discovered a small of methamphetamine and items used to ingest narcotics.
Book was then transported to the Escambia County Detention Center in Brewton.
