Officials said in the release that on Jan. 26 at approximately 2 a.m., BPD officers responded to a shots fired call on the 1300 block of Sowell Road.

β€œIt was determined that several shots had been fired in to a residence, but no persons were injured from the gunfire,” officials said. β€œA traffic stop was attempted on a vehicle that was observed fleeing the scene. After a pursuit, the vehicle was stopped and four possible suspects were detained.”

Officials said Brewton police investigators were later able to gather enough evidence to obtain warrants of arrest on all four subjects that had fled the scene.

Nicholson was the driver of the vehicle, officials said.

BPD officials thanked the U.S. Marshals Service, Flomaton Police Department, Atmore Police Department and Escambia County Fire and Rescue for their help.
