6 Atmore residents arrested Feb. 1 on possession, receiving stolen property, obstruction charges, among others

Six Atmore residents were arrested on possession of drugs, receiving stolen property and obstruction charges after a search warrant was executed Feb. 1 on a residence on Harris Street, according to officials.

Atmore Police Department Public Information Officer Sgt. Darrell McMann said in a release that Willis Williams, 26, was charged with possession of a controlled substance, receiving stolen property II, possession of marijuana I and possession of drug paraphernalia; Kenta Finklea, 37, was charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of marijuana I, receiving stolen property II, obstructing government operations and chemical endangerment; Diane Finklea, 63, was charged with possession of a controlled substance, possessions of drug paraphernalia, possession of marijuana I and receiving stolen property II; Aaron Salter, 27, of Atmore, was charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of marijuana I and receiving stolen property II; Brandon McCaster, 28, was charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of marijuana I and receiving stolen property II; and Tiecha Finklea, 37, was charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of marijuana I and receiving stolen property II.

McMann said at approximately 3:30 p.m. Saturday, APD officers executed the search warrant at a residence in the 100 block of Harris Street.

He said the search warrant was requested as a result of citizen complaints, and surveillance of the residence.

“The search of the residence resulted in the discovery of two firearms that had been reported stolen through the APD,” McMann said. “And several hundred grams of marijuana were found throughout the residence, ecstasy pills, THC gummies, items used for packaging narcotics, digital scales and evidence of the presence of synthetic cannabis (spice). There were also two small children in close proximity to the narcotics.”

All six were transported to the Escambia County Detention Center in Brewton.
