Jackson woman arrested on fugitive from justice charges Feb. 1

A Jackson woman was arrested on fugitive from justice charges through the Pasco County, Fla. Sherriff’s Office on Feb. 1, according to the Atmore Police Department.

Public Information Officer Sgt. Darrell McMann said in a release that Kristina Grillas, 38, was arrested as a fugitive from justice.

McMann said at approximately 6:25 p.m. Saturday, APD officers responded to North Main Street and Nashville Avenue in reference to a vehicle stuck on the railroad tracks. The officers then contacted the driver, Grillas.

“Upon checking Grillas’ driver license status, the officers discovered that Grillas had an active warrant for felony battery through the Pasco County, Fla. Sheriffs Office,” he said.

Grillas was transported to the Escambia County Detention Center in Brewton awaiting extradition back to Pasco County.
