City council adopts resolutions for fuel tanks, system during meeting Monday

The Atmore City Council adopted resolutions for the purchase of fuel tanks and a fuel system during its regular meeting on Monday.
The council adopted resolution 2025-05 authorizing the purchases of one 4,000-gallon double-wall fuel tank for $17,550 and one 2,000-gallon double-wall fuel tank for $11,900 from Alabama Tank, Inc. for a total price of $29,450;
- adopted resolution 2025-06 authorizing the purchase of one Petro Vend fuel dispensing, recording and monitoring system;
- approved ordinance 01-2025 establishing the monthly salary of the mayor and councilmembers for the next administration that becomes effective the first Monday in November, 2025. The monthly salary of the mayor will be $6,000 per month. The monthly salary for councilmembers will be $800 per month;
- approved River of Life Church’s request for the use of Boxcar Willie on Feb. 28, 2025 at 6 p.m. and March 1, 2025 at 5 p.m. for the purpose of hosting a Christian speaker and music; and,
- approved Tony Glover’s request for the use of Boxcar Willie on March 28, 2025 at 5 p.m. for the purpose of hosting a church/ministry service including music and speaking.
