Mrs. Emma Ruth Mothershed, 83, passed away on Feb. 12, 2025, in Mobile surrounded by her loving family.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Leonard Lemuel (Ethel Dee Hodges) Chunn; husband, Carl H Mothershed; son, Waylin Daryl Mothershed; two brothers, James Chunn and Don Chunn; and sister, Luvern Smith.
She is survived by her daughter, Tina (James) House of Huxford; sister, Wilma Johnson of Bainbridge, Ga.; eight grandchildren, Matt Mothershed, Justin Mothershed, Katie Stabler, Breann Barnett, Kaja Rosen, Trevor Lowry, CJ House and Megan Turberville; and seven great-grandchildren, Noah, Braylee, Brynn, Evan, Troy, Kylie and Noraleigh.
A funeral service will be held on Sat., Feb. 15, 2025 at 2 p.m. at Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Homes LLC with the Rev. Don Davis officiating
Burial will follow at Mothershed Cemetery.
Visitation will be held on Feb. 15, 2025 at 1 p.m. until service time at Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Homes LLC.
Pallbearers will be Matt Mothershed, Noah Mothershed, James House, Justin Rosen, CJ House and Trevor Lowry
Honorary pallbearer will be Evan Turberville.
