It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Mrs. Myrle Dorothy Hanks (Granny), 86, on Feb. 10, 2025 in Pensacola, Fla.

Myrle is preceded in death by her parents, Clinton and Zelma Harrison Harris; husband, Howard Hanks; and two brothers, Charles Harris and Clint Harris
She is survived by a son, Mark (Delyn) Hanks of Pace, Fla.; two daughters, Donna (Wayne) Gunn of Bratt, Fla. and Pam (Mike) Mullen of Pensacola; four grandchildren, Ryan Hanks, Haley Hendry, Taylor Riley and Kaitlyn Strehl; and six great-grandchildren, Aryan, Harper, Ruby, Conner, Jase and Cooper.
A funeral service will be held on Wed., Feb. 19, 2025 at 10:30 a.m. at Bratt First Baptist Church with the Rev. Tim Hawsey officiating.
A committal service will be held at 2 p.m. on Feb. 19, 2025 at Barrancas National Cemetery. A procession will be held from Olive Baptist Church (Warrington Campus) 103 Winthrop Ave., Pensacola, FL 32507
Visitation will be held on Feb. 18, 2025 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Homes LLC.
Pallbearers will be Ryan Hanks, Chaz Riley, Austin Strehl, Sean Hendry Rick Anderson, Steve Hanks and Rick Amerson.
