An Atmore man was arrested Feb. 23 on possession of drug and criminal trespassing charges, according to officials.
Atmore Police Department Public Information Officer Sgt. Darrell McMann said in release that Rayvon Barnes, 38, was charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and criminal trespass III.
McMann said at approximately 11:55 a.m. Sunday, APD officers responded to a residence in the 700 block of East Ridgeley Street in reference to a domestic disturbance complaint. The suspect, Barnes, had recently been trespassed from the residence by family members, and had come back to the residence.
“Responding officers confirmed Barnes was trespassed from the property and took him into custody,” McMann said. “Search incident to arrest led to the officers discovering Barnes was in possession of a small amount of synthetic cannabis (spice) and items that are used to ingest narcotics.”
Barnes was then transported to the Escambia County Detention Center in Brewton.
