Pearl River, La. man arrested Feb. 28 on drug charges

A Pearl River, La. man was arrested on possession of drug charges on Feb. 28, according to the Atmore Police Department.
Public Information Officer Sgt. Darrell McMann said in a release that Brandt Audibert, 23, arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance.
McMann said at approximately 8:30 p.m. on Friday, an APD officer conducted a traffic stop on Highway 21 in reference to the vehicle not displaying a license plate. The officer then made contact with the driver, Audibert.
“While speaking with Audibert, the officer the officer noticed drug paraphernalia in plain view,” McMann said. “The officer had Audibert exit the vehicle and detained him.”
McMann said the officer then conducted a probable cause search of the vehicle, and discovered several grams of a crystal-like substance that field tested positive for methamphetamine and several items that are commonly used to ingest narcotics.
Audibert was then transported to the Escambia County Detention Center in Brewton.
