An Atmore woman was arrested March 4 on possession of drug charges, according to officials.
Atmore Police Department Public Information Officer Sgt. Darrell McMann said in a release that Lynsey Linam, 32, was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of marijuana II.
McMann said on Tuesday at approximately 2:55 p.m., an APD officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle on Jack Springs Road in reference to the vehicle not displaying a license plate. The officer then made contact with Linam.
“The officer noticed that Linam appeared lethargic,” McMann said. “A K-9 officer arrived on the scene, and deployed the K-9, which alerted on the vehicle. A probable cause search was conducted on the vehicle. The officers discovered a small amount of synthetic cannabis (spice) and marijuana.”
Linam was then transported to the Escambia County Detention Center in Brewton.
