Story By Cameron Harris
Is there such thing as too much honor?
Not for Huxford Elementary School student Paisley Emmons.
In Emmons’ short time on Earth, she’s managed to garner major accolades through her scholastic endeavors.
Emmons list of accomplishments stands out, to say the least. She is a part of her school’s honor society, a member of the school’s inaugural choir, and not to mention she is also the fourth grade spelling bee champ.
Emmons loves learning.
Her accolades reflect how much she cares about her education, citing math as her favorite subject.
“It is easy for me, and I love my math teacher’s way of teaching it,” Emmons said.
Math might be her favorite subject, but as you can tell she uses perfect grammar and sentence structure showing why she is a part of the coveted honor society.
Emmons also has other hobbies such as playing softball and drawing. Emmons shows great understanding of all subjects, not just her favorite one, this is why Emmons is quickly becoming a scholar of future generations, but learning isn’t the only thing she loves.
Emmons said she loves her family. She is especially proud of the relationship she has with her mother.
She calls her mom her hero saying, “She helps me when I’m sad and encourages me to try my best. She believes in me and tells me to never give up.”
This strong connection with her mother is what drives Emmons to succeed. With the constant reassurance of her mother letting her know she can do anything and with support from her family, Emmons’ possibilities are endless if she stays on the path she is currently walking.
Emmons has all the makings of a future renaissance woman. Not only is she a scholar but a singer, artist, athlete and most important of all a daughter to a loving mother and father.
