Mrs. Emily Montez McMillan, 75, passed away peacefully at her home on March 6, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.
Mrs. McMillan is preceded in death by her parents, Willis (Minnie Lee Brooks) Williams; husband, Charles Mabyn McMillan; one daughter, Glenda Stewart Fondren; five brothers, Charles Williams, Albert Williams, Gene Williams, Leroy Williams and John David Williams; and two sisters, Bobbie Ann Crowley and Judy Dianna Williams.
She is survived by, her son, Jack (Ann) McMillan of Little River; daughter, Linda (Brian) Till of Molino, Fla.; three brothers, Buddy (Rosie) Williams, of Franklin, Willis (Alice) Williams, of Mexia and Don (Vicky) Williams, of McCullough; two sisters, Orbaneze Day, of Poarch and Louise Gibson, of Claiborne; sisters in law, Annie Ruth Emmons, of Little River and Sue Williams of Goodway; grandchildren, Greg (Morgan) Taylor, Trista (Samantha) Smith, Jack (Charity) McMillan Jr., Megan (Ian) Chaves, Harmoni Till, Evan Till, Annabell Stewart and Elizabeth Stewart; and great-grandchildren, Eli Taylor, Toby Taylor, Madelyn Taylor, Ophelia Smith, Aurora Smith, Noah Robertson-McMillan, Wesley Thomas and Grant Hicks.
Funeral services will be held on Mon., March 10, 2025 at 10 a.m. at Little River Baptist Church with the Rev. Wayne McMillan officiating.
Visitation will be held on March 9, 2025 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Petty Funeral Homes LLC.
Pallbearers will be Greg Taylor, Jack McMillan Jr., Evan Till, Ian Chaves, Keith Selzer and Donnie Whatley.
Honorary pallbearers will be Chris McLaughlin and Jimmy McDonald.
Burial will follow at Phillips Cemetery
A special thanks to Southern Care Hospice and Heavenly blessings home health specifically, Nicole Griffis, Mrs. Judy and Kim McLaughlin.
