Lady Chiefs win J.U. Blacksher Invitational Softball Tournament Saturday

Northview won the J.U. Blacksher Invitational Softball Tournament March 22 at Arrowhead Park in Poarch.
The Lady Chiefs beat T.R. Miller 6-4 in the final game of the tournament.
Earlier on Saturday, NHS defeated Thomasville 8-3, Excel 19-0 and fell to Elberta 7-4.
On Friday, the Lady Chiefs lost 8-6 to TRM, and beat Robertsdale 8-1.
NHS 6, TRM 4
Northview scored three runs in the seventh inning to take a lead and held on late.
Daviona Randolph went 3-for-4 with three RBIs and a run to lead the Lady Chiefs. Bailey Burkette went 2-for-4; Jamison Gilman went 1-for-3 with an RBI; and Riley Brooks went 1-for-4 with an RBI and a run. Aubrey Hadley went 1-for-2.
Northview’s Mikayla McAnally struck out 10 and allowed one earned run on three hits in a complete game to earn the win on the mound.
Madi Anderson, Ellie Miller and Aubrey Baggett had one hit each to lead TRM.
NHS 8, Thomasville 3
McAnally had 13 strikeouts and allowed one earned runs on seven hits in another complete game to lead the Lady Chiefs.
Northview scored one run in the fourth, and took the lead away with seven runs in the seventh inning.
Kylee Langham went 3-for-5; and Brooks went 3-for-3 to lead the Lady Chiefs. Burkette went 2-for-4 with an RBI and a run; and McAnally went 1-for-4 with an RBI and a run. Randolph added a one-hit day with two RBIs.
During the win over Excel, the Lady Chiefs scored seven runs in the first, one run in the second and 11 runs in the third.
Elberta 7, NHS 4
Elberta scored six runs in the third inning to take a 7-3 lead.
Langham, Burkette, McAnally, Stuckey and Addysen Bolen had one hit each to lead the Lady Chiefs.
Two Elberta Lady Warriors had two hits each.
TRM 8, NHS 6
Tied 4-4 going into the fifth inning, the Lady Tigers scored four runs in the fifth and held on despite a late Lady Chiefs surge.
Stuckey went 2-for-2 with two RBIs and a run to lead the Lady Chiefs; Randolph went 1-for-2 with an RBI and a run; and Burkett went 1-for-2 with an RBI and a run.
TRM’s Meg Fountain went 2-for-3 with RBIs and three runs to lead the Lady Tigers. Chloe Carter went 1-for-3 with two RBIs.
NHS 8, Robertsdale 1
The Lady Chiefs scored six runs in the third inning to take a lead they wouldn’t give up the rest of the way.
Gilman and Langham had two hits each. Langham added three RBIs. Burkette and McAnally had a hit each and added two RBIs each. Bolen had an RBI.
McAnally struck out seven and allowed one earned runs on three hits in 4.1 innings.
