A Coffeeville man was arrested on possession of drug and open container charges March 22, according to the Atmore Police Department.
Public Information Officer Sgt. Darrell McMann said in a release that Travis Snow, 34, was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and open container of alcohol.
McMann said at approximately 12:25 p.m. on March 22, an APD officer conducted a traffic stop on Highway 21 in reference to the driver failing to use a turn signal and improper equipment. The officer then contacted the driver, Snow.
“During the officer’s interaction with Snow, he noted suspicious behavior and an open bottle of alcohol,” McMann said. “The officer was granted consent to search the vehicle. During the search of the vehicle the officer discovered a small amount of a crystal-like substance that field tested positive for methamphetamine and items used to ingest narcotics.”
Snow was then transported to the Escambia County Detention Center in Brewton.
