Pensacola, Fla. woman arrested March 17 on possession charges

A Pensacola, Fla. woman was arrested March 17 on possession of drug charges, according to the Atmore Police Department.
Public Information Officer Sgt. Darrell McMann said in a release that Sydni Weatherholtz, 31, was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
McMann said at approximately 6:30 p.m. on the day of the arrest, an APD officer conducted a traffic stop on Highway 31 in reference to an equipment violation.
“During the interaction with the driver and the passenger, the officer noted suspicious behavior,” McMann said. “A K-9 officer arrived on the scene and deployed the K-9, which alerted on the vehicle.”
McMann said during the search of the vehicle, the officers discovered a small amount of a crystal-like substance that field tested positive for methamphetamine and items used to ingest narcotics.
Weatherholtz was the passenger of the vehicle.
She was transported to the Escambia County Detention Center in Brewton.
