Atmore Christian School named Steven Morris as its new administrator, according to the school’s Facebook page.

Morris is an Austin, Texas native, and graduated from the University of Texas with a bachelor’s degree in English and history.

According to ACS officials, Morris attended seminary in St. Louis, Mo., where he received a master’s degree in Biblical studies and pastoral ministry. He served for over 15 years in operations management (in IT) and customer service management at a Christian non-profit organization.
Recently, Morris served as the pastor of a church in Peoria, Ill.

He has a broad background in working with various organizations both secular and Christian.

ACS officials said they believe his experience will be invaluable in leading the school.

Morris is already familiar with ACS as his wife, Karen, teaches in the middle and high school, and his son, Nathan, attends ACS.
