Flomaton captured the regular season Class 3A, Area 1 crown Friday night during a doubleheader against T.R. Miller at home.

The Canes beat T.R. Miller 7-3 in the first game to win the title, but fell 10-1 in the nightcap. In a Thursday night area game against the Tigers, FHS won 6-1 in Brewton.

TRM 10, FHS 1

T.R. Miller’s Cole McMillan struck out eight and allowed no earned runs on two hits in 6.0 innings to earn the win on the mound.

Eli Hubbert, Nathan Commander and McMillan had two hits each to lead the Tigers. Dalton Mandel added three RBIs

Flomaton’s Harper Harrison and Braden Nall had one hit each for the Canes.

 

FHS 7, TRM 3

Flomaton scored one run in the first inning, two runs in the second, three runs in the third and one run in the fifth.

Nall pitched a complete game, striking out two and allowing two earned runs on seven hits.

Mandel hit a solo homerun in the top of the fifth for TRM.

Seth Hammonds had two hits for the Canes.
