Trinity Episcopal Church to mark 125th anniversary on Easter Sunday

Trinity Episcopal Church will mark its 125th anniversary of the church’s first Easter service on Sun., April 20.

Service time is at 10 a.m.

According to “The History of Trinity Episcopal Church: 1900-2002,” Trinity was the third church established in Atmore.

W.M. Carney donated three adjacent lots of real estate for his Easter offering, and also gave timber, pews, a bell and communion service.

The Rev. Albert Kennington will preside, and a pianist will accompany the service.

Light refreshments and fellowship in the church’s parish hall will be held following the service.
