A Mobile woman was arrested April 14 on possession of drug charges, according to the Atmore Police Department.
Public Information Officer Sgt. Darrell McMann said in a release that Alicia Blakeley, 38, was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of marijuana II.
McMann said at approximately 6:55 p.m. on Monday, an APD officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle on Woods Road in reference to a stop sign violation. The officer then made contact with the driver, Blakeley.
“During the officer’s interaction with Blakeley, the officer detected the odor of marijuana coming from inside the vehicle,” McMann said. “The officer conducted a probable cause search of the vehicle and discovered ecstasy and a small amount of marijuana.”
Blakeley was then transported to the Escambia County Detention Center in Brewton.
